Beginner guide
Goal for week one: follow the game's teaching order, pick a source-backed starter team, and learn assists before complex switching. The schedule is editorial; the systems are linked to the official beginner guide.
Time scope: the official beginner guide was written for the July 24–26, 2026 open beta. Inputs and Ease of Use stars should be confirmed in the live launch build. This page does not claim independent post-launch re-verification of every mapping.
Day 0 — Startup Battle
- Complete Startup Battle's Basics section with Captain America.
- Continue to Assemble, which introduces team-based mechanics and cooperative actions.
- Use Controls & terms beside the game for the sourced Link Attack, Guard, assist, and switch inputs.
Days 1–2 — solo fundamentals
- Movement and blocking only for one short session.
- Repeat the official L, M, and H Link Attack examples before trying the longer Assemble Rush route.
- Practice standing and crouching Guard, then try Assemble Counter and Crossover in Startup Battle.
Days 3–4 — first team habits
- Run Team Builder and keep one order for two sessions.
- Learn the teammate directions and practice one Assemble Assist.
- Follow the official advice to learn assists before direct switching, then add one assist-to-switch.
Days 5–7 — stabilize
- Revisit published character pages for practice priorities only — not as a wiki substitute.
- Compare Quick Skill and Command Inputs. New players can start with Quick Skills; Command Inputs trade more execution for slightly higher damage and Skill Gauge.
- When a patch or balance note appears, re-check claims before keeping old video routes.
What we will not tell you yet
- Optimal damage routes and hidden supers.
- Ranked tier lists or “must-ban” assists.
- PC performance fixes — evidence is community-hot but not curated into a safe page in this MVP.
